You can use your personal influence online to build relationships, share your talents and grow in discipleship.

As you interact online, whether on your personal social media account, in a group, through email or while playing video games, you have the opportunity to shine light.

Now, this might sound like hard work – being light all the time, and doing good all the time and performing well all the time. However, does light have to try hard to shine?

Does light have to try hard to shine?

Does the sun wake up and struggle to emit light? Do lamps put in great effort to shine? Do candles put great energy into burning? No! By its very nature, light shines.

All light has a source – a battery, solar panels or the electricity from the wall. When you shine light in the online space, you’re reflecting your light from the ultimate light source: Jesus.

So, you don’t need to be burdened about doing all the right things. Rest in being present with Jesus. Spend time in the Light and light will shine from you in everything you do and say, even in the online space.
